After the Milan launch, our Italian book came to Brazil for some caipirinhas. The past, present and future of MK27 met at our beloved Micasa Vol. C to celebrate The Architecture Of Studio MK27: Lights, Camera, Action.

It was very emotional meeting people from different moments of MK27 history. The evening was one of those occasions Marcio quotes Oscar Niemeyer: “Life is more important than architecture.” Thank you all for making part of this historic moment for us and for having the book run out in less than two hours.

27 of the projects featured in the book became pocket-sized 1:600 scale models ready to join a world tour. They made their first appearance at the São Paulo launch event, exhibited on totems specially designed for the Micasa Vol C pavilion.
Special thanks to Mario Segall for those cuties.

a wooden path
The scenario for our launch, Micasa Vol C, is part of Studio MK27’s investigations on the use of prefabricated wood structure.
The material offers numerous benefits: lightness, waste reduction, fast building and low carbon footprint.
In upcoming projects, the use of wood has expanded to entire slabs in much larger scale buildings: 1111 hotel in Malaysia and the coorporate complex of Bioma XP below:
As a sustainable and renewable resource, wood provides a greener alternative to traditional materials.
